Creating a sustainable future for Kitchener-Conestoga

WHY I'M RUNNING

I’m running because Kitchener deserves strong regional representation that is practical, accessible, and focused on results. I believe residents want leadership that listens, asks tough questions, protects taxpayer dollars, and still cares deeply about the people who need help the most.

A New Approach to Housing

Waterloo Region needs practical new tools to help address housing challenges, and I believe a Municipal Housing Corporation can be part of that solution.
I am committed to helping move this work forward. I have been connecting with other municipalities, learning from their experience, and gathering ideas that can help guide the development of a strong and effective model here in Waterloo Region. My focus is on making sure we do this thoughtfully, responsibly, and in a way that delivers real results for our community.

What I’ve Brought Forward

Practical Motions. Real Progress.

  • Advanced work on a Municipal Housing Corporation

  • Raised accountability questions around facilities and capital planning

  • Pushed for stronger water protection and groundwater oversight

  • Brought forward motions focused on long-term planning and responsible spending

  • Worked across Council to move practical ideas forward

I believe Regional government works best when it plans ahead, spends responsibly, and stays focused on the needs of residents.

My Priorities for Waterloo Region

Affordability
I believe Regional government must focus on value, efficiency, and responsible use of tax dollars. Residents need strong services, but they also need a council that understands financial pressure on households and businesses.

Housing and Growth
Our Region is growing quickly, and growth must be matched with proper planning. That means housing, infrastructure, roads, water capacity, and community services all need to work together.

Water Protection
Protecting Waterloo Region’s water supply must remain a top priority. Long-term growth depends on responsible planning, environmental stewardship, and making sure our water systems remain secure for future generations.

Public Safety
Residents deserve to feel safe in their communities. I support practical investments and strong coordination between public safety, emergency response, and community-based supports.

Transportation
Whether people drive, take transit, walk, or cycle, they need transportation systems that are reliable and well planned. Regional decisions should improve mobility and reflect how people actually move across our communities.

Accountability
I believe in being accessible, asking hard questions, and making decisions in the public interest. Residents deserve a councillor who listens, communicates clearly, and stands up for their community.
